We met as the “GNOME Media Manager” team last night to talk about what we wanted to do. I’m too nitpicky when it comes to architectures. It’s probably because I worked for IBM and most architectures there make no sense. Regarless, me, McCabe, and Jeremy met for about an hour talking about how we should use gnome-vfs to set everything up — only to ask a question of Kyle who proceeded to tell us gnome-vfs isn’t the way to go. Oh well — I’ll have to learn bonobo anyways.
I’m beginning to think that this might not be the greatest IBM Linux Challenge project, but who knows — it’s all about the spin. If we end up just implementing a nautilus view, it’s still mostly worthy. I keep thinking about other good ideas, but I have yet to come up with anything useful. Other than taking over the world to revert the Star Wars DVDs back to the originals so I can watch those just as easily as watching the special edition. I’m as much of a geek as anybody, and eye candy is great and all, but I get all nostalgic with those movies.
